BB67 Review

Over the weekend was LMQ4 workshop and BB67 was undeniably tough, at least it's tougher than BB66, I thought.

Especially the short sweet Core Abs track 6, at 2 and a half minutes, it's freaking intense! Just imagine how intense it is compared to BB66 Core Abs track 6a & 6b combined at over 7 minutes, yet manageable!

Taichi warmup is a bit weird I find due to the hips shift move while holding arms overhead.
Sun salutations - ntg much
Standing strength x 2 tracks - an OMG moment
Balance - Tough balance track especially after the 2 standing strengths, standing split! I can't believe I'm that flexible enough to hold my leg straight although not to the sky LOL...
Hip opener - a long 7 minutes to open the hip
Core abs - INTENSE MADNESS
Core back - not too bad, really need it
Twist - nice (better than I thought!)
Hamstring stretch - this is one yeouch... seated forward fold! My nightmare!!
Meditation - we all love this track, regardless.. like zoning out..

Thanking my lucky stars!

What are the chances do one get to team teach with a LesMills Asia Pacific Bodybalance presenter?
Not many I guess and even so, yes - I got that chance!

Not because I asked for it, but my mentor decided I should TT with a presenter, so she arranged for it, and asked me to go TT with Nick Heng instead of the usual TT slot with her. Next up she wants me to TT with Riyo! Everyone in Bodybalance knows Nick Heng and Riyo!

The good thing about being in Fitness First is that FF has quite a large number of the LM trainers, coaches, superstars and presenters, not only that makes TT and the progress a lot tougher but also easier access to first class feedback which every new trainee should appreciate - at least I do.

First Bodybalance Team-teaching done..

Tonight, and moving forward, every Wednesday, team-teaching with my mentor Ezura in her class until my clearance.. I did my module training assessment track, which is T6 - core abdominals.. A freaking double abs track!

Am I happy? Well, somewhat, it could've been better I think.. On a scale of 1 to 10, I probably place myself a 6?

My target is go for clearance in within 3-6 months time.. It's almost one month down since module training last month.. and I've done 2 shadow sessions, and from here, 5 team-teach sessions are minimum requirement for clearance.. I'm gonna go for 10 LOL, corresponding to about 10 weeks aka 3 months+, right within targeted time frame.. 5 is too little, I feel...

In case you're wondering, BODYBALANCE is the Yoga, Tai Chi, Pilates workout that builds flexibility and strength and leaves you feeling centered and calm. Controlled breathing, concentration and a carefully structured series of stretches, moves and poses to music create a holistic workout that brings the body into a state of harmony and balance..

I have never achieved in other workout regime as much as I have achieved doing Bodybalance, a leaner and more chiselled body (photos sometimes in my instagram) and toned legs! Wootz! That is also part reason why I am favouring Bodybalance over Bodycombat.. besides, my knee injury sustained some years back slipping on my own puddle of sweat on the stage is coming back to haunt me now..

Next - Team Teach!

Yesterday in Wilfred's class in FF Avenue K, my mentor was recording us on the stage for my second shadow session, and also for Wilfred as a mentor.. After the class, we spent like an hour discussing and reviewing the good and the bad, the bad habits and action plan for me..

And yup, the ultimate green light to move on to the next phase - to team teach!

That will be on every Wednesday in FF Manulife with my mentor.. sure, there were lots to be fixed, like range of movements and some bad habits.. I'll get there :)

Done my first shadow in FF Manulife last night!

Done my first shadow in FF Manulife last night.. My next shadow will be in Avenue K this Saturday together with Wilfred, a new mentor-in-training, and the class will be recorded (for feedback and training purposes!).

How awesome can it get??

I'm grinning from ear to ear now :)

Here we go....

Was just officially inducted into Fitness First Malaysia BodyBalance team and got assigned a mentor to begin to shadow and team teach..

Signed and delivered!

I just signed my mentee agreement with Fitness First to be mentored and subsequently teach in Fitness First.. It has always been something I want to do and I am proud to have done so..


Looking forward to all the teamteach sessions leading up to securing my own class! :)


On another note, I was included in True Fitness tuition! Like OMG can!
